More than five months into the COVID-19 pandemic that has forced many employers to adopt remote work arrangements, on August 24, 2020, the U.S. Department of Labor issued Field Assistance Bulletin (FAB) 2020-5, which clarifies an employer’s obligation to track hours worked by nonexempt employees who are working remotely.
