Foreign court documents need to be sealed by the court of origin, or signed by a judge of that court if there is no seal, to prove their validity. Documents executed by or on behalf of companies will be valid in England provided that they have been executed validly according to the rules of the company and the law governing the jurisdiction in which the company was incorporated. Documents in a foreign language will need to be translated into English. Certain copy documents will need to be certified as true copies (by a notary or officer of the company where appropriate) in the country of origin and translations certified as true translations by a solicitor or notary in England.
