As Spain is a member of the European Union, Spanish law mutually recognizes the right of banking entities that are residents of the European Union to conduct banking activities in Spain, as long as the activities carried on do not exceed the limits of the authorization granted by the Ministry of Economics and Finance, the regulations of the country where they are domiciled, or their articles of incorporation and by laws.
